Spark and Support STEM passions in students of all backgrounds
As a non-profit organization around the Boston metro-west area, S.I.O is interested in engaging community members in STEM topics to further understanding of STEM fields and inspire students to consider careers in STEM. We hope to achieve this through workshops, interviews, and other learning opportunities. You can read on to find out more about these activities below.
We host seminars/workshops featuring individuals in STEM careers, such as professors, programmers, engineers, researchers, and doctors. We hope to help people of all backgrounds in the community to discover their STEM passion and potential. STEM Series is organized by S.I.O. ambassadors with assistance from S.I.O. board.
The ambassador program reaches out to students who are interested in STEM/Business and want to live out an impact. The STEM division serves as an opportunity for students to showcase their leadership and explore entrepreneurship in the real world. The Business Division opens a window for students to oversee professional management and exposure to early business skills. Students from both divisions collaborate together to gain teamwork skills and spread their passion to others.
Leaders in STEM
Leaders in STEM program features a series of interview toward different experts in related STEM fields. The interview will be conducted by S.I.O. ambassadors and supervised by the board, providing different insights toward the future potentials of STEM industries.
